itinerary day by day

Day 1 - ARRIVAL DAY
  • Meeting 6pm at the hotel to introduce all the members of the group & have a briefing about the week.
  • Night in La Paz.

 

Day 2 - SEA OF CORTEZ
  • After a breakfast, we will enjoy the sea of Cortez, depth training, whaleshark
  • A perfect day to discover the amazing diversity of the sea of Cortez.
  • Diner and night in la Paz.

 

Day 3 - LA REINA
  • We will head to the beach of La Ventana to freedive “la Reina” one of the best reef of sea of Cortez!
  • We will play with sea Lions and if we are a bit lucky we might find the giant manta rays.
  • Night in Cabo Pulmo

Day 4 - CABO PULMO
  • Visit the most successful marine park in the world where all the fish are abundant, big and not afraid of humans!
  • Proof that conservation projects works.
  • Night in Cabo Pulmo

 

Day 5 - SEA LIONS
  • Another magical day on the Sea of Cortez, we will have some fun meeting the famous Sea Lions.
  • After that we will drive to spend the night in Puerto San Carlos.
Day 6 - MARLINS (Part 1)
  • Expedition to observe the stripped Marlin inside the sardine baitballs, just a fabulous offshore safari.
  • Dinner & night in Puerto San Carlos.
Day 7 - MARLINS (Part 2)
  • Another chance to observe the beautiful Stripped Marlin in the sardine baitballs.
  • After the marine life, we will also visit the mangrove.
  • Night in Puerto San Carlos.

 

Day 8 - WHALE WATCHING
  • We will try to find some sea life and do some whale watching. Then we will enjoy kelp diving.
  • Back to La Paz to have dinner and a good night.
Day 9
  • Departure day from La Paz

SPECIFIC DETAILS

  • Pre requisite: be 18 years old of age or older and being a certified freediver (Aida 2 or similar minimum).
  • Max group size: 6 people.
  • The meeting point will be in La Paz , BCS, where there is an international airport.
  • It will be an internation group. Main language will be english. We also speak spanish and french.
  • The schedule may change depending on weather and local legislation.
  • There is no guarantee to see wildlife
  • Respect for nature is mandatory at all time.
  • We recommend to bring eco-friendly sun screen and anti-mosquitos product.
  • On the boat we will provide snacks and water, and on some occasions we will have lunch on the boat.
  • We recommend to purchase DAN insurance for your trip and for anytime you go freediving.
  • Bring your personal freediving equipment, we recommend a 3mil wetsuit with hoody.
  • Plugs are 110 volt – Europeans will need an adaptor.
  • Some places can be quite remote, make sure you bring what you need.

Julien is the founder and owner of Freediving Travelers Club, PranaMaya Freediving, and Azul Freediving Challenge. He’s been a certified AIDA Freediving Instructor Trainer for many years and enjoys sharing his love for the underwater world with others. Embarking on the FTC project felt like the next logical step for Julien. Driven by his passion for freediving and adventure, he envisioned a platform where he could connect with like-minded individuals and introduce them to the wonders of the underwater world. With a desire to share his favorite dive sites and create meaningful experiences, Julien set out to establish FTC, aiming to cultivate a community of fellow explorers eager to make lasting memories together holding our breath.
