Experience the wonders of the Yucatan Peninsula on an exciting road trip tailored for freedivers. Dive into the enchanting cenotes of Valladolid, Cenotillo, and Merida, exploring their breathtaking depths. Immerse yourself in the fascinating local culture, from ancient Maya sites to charming colonial towns, while savoring the region’s delicious food.
Join a small group of passionate freedivers as you embark on an unforgettable adventure, making lifelong connections and sharing thrilling underwater experiences. Discover the secrets of the Yucatan’s unique cenotes, where the beauty of freediving meets the magic of this incredible region.
Day 1
- We will meet 5.30pm at Pranamaya Shop for paper, payment, gear and presentation of the trip.
- Night in Playa del Carmen.
Day 2
- Our road trip begins with Cenote Maravilla, a stunning cenote with crystal clear waters and mesmerizing light beams.
- After the dive, we’ll head to Valladolid to explore the town and spend the night.
Day 3
- Dive into the unreal beauty of Cenote Chukum, located inside a cavern and perfect for underwater photography.
- Afterward, we’ll visit the Ek Balam Maya site before returning to Valladolid for the night.
Day 4
- Experience the breathtaking Cenote Palomitas (50m) and Cenote Agua Dulce, adorned with magnificent stalactites. These cenotes offer an opportunity to explore greater depths.
- We’ll spend another night in Valladolid.
Day 5
- Drive to the Maya village of Cenotillo to dive the Yucatan’s deepest cenote (95m) and immerse ourselves in the peaceful countryside.
- We have a surprise! Maya site planned for this special day.
Day 6
- From Cenotillo, we’ll travel to a remote location to dive one of the most beautiful cenotes in the area. It offers depth, crystal-clear water, roots reaching down, and even Mayan artifacts at the bottom.
- Later, we’ll head to Merida for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 7
- Wake up in the colonial town of Merida and dive in classic cenotes with their clear, warm waters to practice deeper dives.
- Afterward, we’ll take a leisurely stroll through Merida and immerse ourselves in the vibrant Yucatan lifestyle.
Day 8
- Enjoy the last day of diving at a cenote with an easy dive site in a breathtaking location. Have fun exploring, taking more pictures before returning to Playa del Carmen.
Day 9
Departure day.

- Optional: on day 1 or day 9 we can organize a trip to swim with whalesharks. Ask us for more details.
- Pre requisite: be 18 years old of age or older and being a certified freediver (Aida 2 or similar minimum).
- Max group size: 8 people.
- Min group size: 4 people
- Bring your personal freediving equipment, we recommend a 3mil wetsuit with hoody.
- Weights will be provided
- The schedule may change depending on weather and local legislation.
- We recommend to purchase DAN insurance for your trip and for anytime you go freediving.
- Respect for nature is mandatory at all time.
- We recommend to bring eco-friendly sun screen and anti-mosquitos product.
- The meeting will be in PranaMaya freediving shop in Playa del Carmen.
- We recommend flying to Cancun international airport.
- Plugs are 110 volt – Europeans will need an adaptor.
